The finals of the 2018 French Pizza Championships, organised by the Association des Pizzerias Françaises (APF), will take place at Parizza on 4–5 April. Over 150 contestants, who qualified in the heats held throughout France, will do battle over two days to find the French Pizza Champion 2018.

How to take part

Stage 1: France Pizza Tour

In the six months leading up to the show, the Association des Pizzerias Françaises (APF) scours the country to find France’s best pizza makers. Those who qualify from the regional heats will come together for the grand finals at Parizza.

Stage 2: Finals at Parizza

At the show, the contestants will be judged by pizza professionals on their skills in various challenges assessing quality, speed, widest pizza, pizza in teglia and the spectacular pizza acrobatics.

A new competition, “Pizza a due”, was introduced by Galbani Professionale in 2017, reflecting the trend for gourmet pizza. Contestants compete in teams of two comprising a chef and a pizza maker. The pizza maker draws on expertise in dough-making and cooking while the chef uses gastronomic know-how to achieve the perfect balance between technique and visual appeal.

The contestant with the most points will be crowned French Pizza Champion 2018.
The winner will follow in the footsteps of the 2017 Champion, Yoan Garcin, who won the Montpellier heat.
